Enemies Of Good Art


Following the East London Fawcett Group’s open meeting on October 19th – Art Talks, where much of the conversation was dominated by motherhood and children, today’s show looks at the divide between women, who for one reason or other, do not have children and those who do. Martina Mullaney from Enemies of Good Art is joined by Artist and Curator Stav B and Filmmaker Lucy Thane.

Lucy Thane was born in Angel during the Summer of Love. She makes character based interactive Site-Specific, Promenade and Theatrical Performance. Venues include Tate Modern, the A Foundation, the Italian Cultural Institute, Park Road Pilot, the Woodmill, Basement Art Projects. She recently received an M.A. in Performance and Creative Research at Roehampton University, London.

Stav B is Athens born, London based for the last 22 years. A visual and performance artist, curator, promoter and pop up bar owner, she also curates her own events; such as, queen Bees an avant garde night for women, where all the djs, artists, performers, musicians on the night, are women. She owns stav B’s liquor bar, a pop up prohibition, speakeasy style cocktail bar, happening in various sites: old police stations, pie n’ mash shops, tattoo parlours. She is 43, a homosexual and without children, a conscious decision with no regret.
